Directions: For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write a short essay on innovation. Your essay should include the importance of innovation and measures to be taken to encourage innovation. You are required to write at least 150 words but no more than 200 words.

Innovation is the process of exploiting new ideas and use these ideas to create new products and services. It is essential for a business to grow and prosper so both employers and employees should take actions to encourage innovation.
Innovation is important because it can improve a company’s productivity and create more wealth. That is because innovative staff can not only invent new ideas, but also actually bring these ideas into market by exploit new products and services with higher value or improved qualities. In this way, innovative companies could keep profitable through meeting customer demands.
In order to encourage innovative thinking in an organization, sufficient budget, first of all, must be allocated to foster innovation among workers such as, building strong work teams and rewarding innovative ideas. In addition to this, companies need to respond quicker to changing marketplace conditions which means they are flexible to change and to offer new products and services on a consistent basis.
In conclusion, companies must innovate to keep one step ahead of the market competition, so they must take effective steps to promote innovative ideas and create new products and services to meet the market expectations.
