　　Directions: For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write a short essay on invention. Your essay should include the importance of invention and measures to be taken to encourage invention. You are required to write at least 150 words but no more than 200 words.

　　In contemporary society, creativity is a key driver in the global economy. As for me, it benefits both individual development and social advance, so both governments and families should create such environment to encourage the ability.

　　Firstly, being creative is an important quality for people to achieve personal success. In a workplace, a creative thinker is more likely to be promoted as their ability to “think outside of the box” would help an enterprise to solve problems and create more competitive products. Moreover, our society would benefit too because more creative workforce can produce new and unique ideas and increase the social productivity.

　　Since creativity is such an important contributor, the government should introduce more projects, such as talent shows and creative competitions, to spread the values of creativity as well as granting more programs to reward creative ideas. In a family, parents also ought to be supportive and create a tolerant environment for any of their children’s creative activities.

　　In conclusion, I believe creativity is of great significance for individuals to excel and our society to prosper, so effective measure must be adopted to produce creative surroundings.

　　此次的六级题目要求考生写创新的重要性。但是题目中的创新使用了Creation这个词。杨老师对这个词在这篇作文中的使用持有保留态度，因为在英语中Creation指的是上帝创造世间万物。因此如果写importance of creation的话，很有可能外国人会理解成要求写上帝造人说的重要性。因此在这篇作文中，我都用creativity创造力代替了creation. 当然大家在写的时候还可以说：creative ability/creative thinking/creative thinkers等不同的说法，这也是考察学生的词汇量是否能够更灵活的写出一篇优秀的文章。

　　这次题目是典型的抽象类说明文，不需要我们表达观点，而是要说明一个抽象事物的重要性，因为我们都知道当今社会创新是一个人重要的能力之一，和推广这一能力的方法。在写importance and measures 的说明文当中，我们可以微观和宏观来分析它的总要性，一方面是对自己的，另一方面是对社会的。而就措施而言。我们也可以从上至下，政府能做什么，相关团体可以怎么做以及家庭及个人如何做出贡献，当然限于篇幅，我们只写两个措施即可。
